Midlands Champs / League event 10

Just a quick note to say that the Midlands Championships on 6th December, at Baggeridge, is also a League counting event (only riders registered with the league will get the points)

Entries for all categories (except Under 10s and 12s) are IN ADVANCE ONLY - CLOSING DATE 16th NOVEMBER. THERE WILL BE NO ENTRY ON THE DAY ! This is to allow appropriate gridding for championship races.

The Under 10s and 12s races are NON-CHAMPIONSHIP races and can be entered on the day as usual.

Why can't the U10s and U12s have a regional championship race?

Good question. It doesn't seem to be done in any region, and I guess BC would prefer the Under 10s and 12s to be a 'fun' event (although we all know how competitive it actually is....especially here in the West Mids Wink

There is no reason why the Midlands can't have their own u10 & u12 champs but it would mean more work for the organiser and to get the results out quickly they would have to pre-enter for the event. As the large numbers of riders in each event riding for only 10-15 minutes creates probles in producing a quck race result.

Indeed Gerry, and without someone else willing to take this on, it won't be happening this year, but if someone steps forward and volunteers, then we can do it
