On Sunday 15th November Rugby Velo are once again promoting the Mallory Park International Cyclo-Cross.
New support for the event is provided by Dirtworker www.dirtworker.co.uk , the ‘low pressure’ pressure washer with its own water tank, that runs from a car accessory socket.
As well as racing for the substantial prize list the winners will also be presented with handsome engraved trophies supplied by Shore Design www.shore-design.com and to replace the energy used High 5 www.highfive.co.uk have donated products from their range of energy drinks and bars. Help with transport once again is provided by Townsend Vehicle Hire www.townsendvehiclehire.co.uk. Further support is provided by local cycle shops Hinckley Cycle Centre www.hinckleycyclecentre.co.uk and South Wigston Cycle Centre www.southwigstoncyclecentre.co.uk .
As is usual at Mallory Park there are new features on the course to keep the riders on their toes. This year sees the introduction of a tunnel and some short sharp climbs and descents to compliment the normal adverse camber corners Mallory is noted for.
In the Elite race last years winner the Frenchman Nicolas Bazin returns and is joined by Belgian Jan Van Dael who has already recorded 2nd and 3rd places in the first two rounds of this seasons National Trophy. French woman Perrine Philippe adds an international flavour to the Womens race.
With the support events catering for everyone from under 12’s to over 60’s a full days racing gets underway at 10:30 with the Junior and Womens race and finishes with the Elite race at 14:15. Admission for all is only £1.00 and over 90% of the course is visible from the start/finish area making Mallory Park one of the most popular courses in the Country.

Details of places to stay and directions can be found on the Mallory Park website www.mallorypark.co.uk
