After a very long and tiring day (not to mention the last few weeks) - I would just like to thank the following people.
Gary Coltman and all his officials and helpers today.
Gordon and Gerry who gave their support with advice and phone numbers.
Dave Millar who dropped everything at the last minute to come and ride.
As well as all the other riders in the West Midlands teams and all their helpers who once again managed to create a comaraderie that is second to none.
And last, but certainly not least, my wife Andrea and my daughter Aimear whose help today was invaluable.
Thankyou also for the kind comments today, and well done to the Youth team that secured a bronze, and the Vets that got the silver.
As for next year, and as a result of some of the events that have occured this year, it looks like the selection process will go out to committee, as well as other fundamental qualifying criteria's coming into play. Which in essence, I think is to the good.
As for myself, and based on what has occured this year, I think it best that I play no part in that selection process. And as for managing the team, I think that he or she should just be responsible for looking after the riders on the day - whilst the contacting of riders in the first place should be made simpler, and should form part of that new criteria.
As for myself being manager again: I've done it three times now, and perhaps it would be better if someone else took over. However, and based on the tireless work of others in the Division. Then if the committee want me to continue, then I will.
Thanks once again, and all the very best for the rest of the season.
Adrian.
