I am pleased to announce that the courses at Elmdon this year will be longer and they will revert to the more usual clockwise direction - i.e. opposite to last year. We are also planning a slightly shorter version of the full course for the Youths. At present the park is still bone dry, so it should be another fast race.

But the main point of this post is to tell you all that we've decided this year to place the signing-on at Solihull Moors Football Club. This is to encourage you all to ...

Inter Area Team Championships

As you might be aware - I sorted out the teams for the Inter Area's last year, and I'm quite happy to do it again this year at Leicester. However, I think it's only right that if some one else feels they would like to do it, that they should be allowed to. So, I will leave it open for a week on the forum, and if no one volunteers by next Monday, I will get in contact with Gordon and offer my services again.

Remember: I've got Roger Hammond's phone number!

Hi

Rode round the course on Monday....

This will, (weather permitting... for those who remember the dreadful weather last year) be a very fast course. The flat open park landscape allows us to have long fast sections, with loops to put in extra distance and let you see your closest rivals. Added to this two technical sections (cambers and banks) to balance the race back towards the more technical riders. Top that off with being able to stand by the signing on/catering tent and see ...

I completed phase 1 of the the course at our shop today. All taped off ready to go.

Did a lap and it still needs some work as it is too tight in places but its there for riders to use and abuse

Course length full bore for a decent rider is about 2-3 mins but I have plenty more to do, which I'll start next week, at least you got a permanent course now to use and practice your skills on. Its a good test of cornering skills!

Phase 2 should double the course length and be more free-flowing

Its ...
